We owned a Big Ruckus 250 (My Wife's) for quite a while and rode it everywhere. The absolute most Fun I ever had with it though was on Backwoods Gravel Roads (...and Dirt)...!!! The Lightweight, and Overall Small Size made Flicking and Throwing it through Corners and Downhills a Real Blast. Pegged Throttle was easy for Both Me and my Wife on places like Parsons Branch, Rich Mountain, Tremont, and Cataloochie in the Smokies, and the Ridge Roads of Lynchburg and Monteagle Mountain in Tennessee, and the Crow Mountain Area of Alabama.....got a Big Ruckus, no need for a Dirt Bike...it's built in there..... ;D

Got to take a Friend's 250 Big Ruckus (He owns 2 of em') on some Gravel Roads last Saturday in the pouring rain. He and I had a ball broadsliding and powersliding the lightweight Big Ruks on the Gravel Ridge Roads outside Lynchburg and Petersburg, Tennessee. We took em' on the Dirt Motorcycle Trails at Portland, Tennessee with Our "Dirt Bike Buddies" and Their Motocrossers and Enduro Bikes back in April. We hung right in there, although I recommend climbing over jumps instead of jumping them due to the minimal suspension travel and low ground clearance.....get that Big Ruckus on some Gravel Roads if You want to find out where the real fun of owning one is.....

We did this again last Saturday outside Whitwell, Tennessee at the Motocross/Enduro Training Camp.....had a ball....the Big Ruckus is so small and light, it's a ball to flick it around ( just not enough travel for much jumping if You let it get over about a foot off the ground )......feels like nothing under You in the Dirt and Gravel.....my Buddy also picked up 2 more Big Rucks from two Honda Dealers.....He's gonna' cut em' up some and experiment with longer travel suspension mods to help the "Jumping Issue".....These Things have been obsolete long enough now that They can be bought really cheaply if You look around.....Getting cheap enough to build "Dirt/Gravel Scoots" out of now........

Hiya Skuuter!Sounds like you folks are having some FUN! Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I'm new on here, and haven't seen any recent Posts on the BR Forum until I saw yours tonight. I keep checking every couple of weeks, and I was glad to see something on here today. I just picked up a Yellow '05 in Feb with 2,622 Miles on it. GREAT Scooter! I've been looking for one of these for 7 years. Finally nailed one 3 hours from me in Houston. When you said above, "My Buddy also picked up 2 more Big Rucks from two Honda Dealers..... These Things have been obsolete long enough now that They can be bought really cheaply if You look around....."
Where did your buddy find these? They're harder than Hens Teeth to find just about anywhere in Texas! Seems like most Owners are hangin' on to them here. If I might ask, any info on what your buddy paid for them at the Honda Dealer? I paid $3,800 for mine, and that was down from the $4,500 Asking Price. "IF"..... you can find one anywhere in the State, it's not unusual to see them going for $4K with 16K Miles on it. RARE isn't the word for BR Hunting in these parts! EXTINCT would be closer for our area! Do you still have your BR, or did you already Sell it? I get mine back from the Honda Dealer tomorrow, after having a few Goodies added on to better the Performance. Things that Honda should have done at the Factory, like Jets, Sliders, Shock, etc..... Anyway, I'll keep checking more often now that I see some more Posts popping up! Glad to be here! Cheers! BB
