My Wife's Zoomer. Just bought it for her birthday. She's loving the fact that it's a 'Rescue'. A Yellow '06 EFi Zoomer. A stolen-recovered Insurance write-off. Picked it up for a great price in 'almost' repaired state. Starts every time and rides and stops great, luckily most damage was cosmetic. Done 13000 miles and has relatively new tyres. It'll be staying stock but will need some TLC and is set to change colour in the future: Largely staying stock but some mods and hand-me-downs are inevitable. Nov '13: Malossi Variator and Dr Pulleys KN Lowdown Front Shocks Kitaco B250A Adjustable Rear Shock Buzetti Kickstand BMX Pegs Custom Buddy Seat/Rear Carrier Black Stock Seat and Light Frame Honda Grille Set Polini Intake Manifold Polini Kevlar Belt Tucano Urbano Termoscud and Mittens KCP Bar Ends and Frame Caps Battlescooter Clear Lenses ProBolt goodies. 12V Flush Power and iPhone Mount Maxxis Rubber Backrest seems a bit bent. Rear Carrier and Basket come with it: It has a brand new Yellow Battery box but needs an ignition cylinder cover: Worst damage is the bent bars where some tea-leaf attempted to break the steering lock, mirrors are gone but I'll put my Stockers on it: I'll be picking it up later this week and this thread will document it's quest to return to the road. Registration document takes 4 weeks to arrive so have that long to get it ready for it's roadworthiness test. A lot of stock stuff I've pulled off my own Zoomer will be whacked on this so managed to save a bit there on odds and sods (Shock/Ignition Cylinder/FIlters/Plug). Hopefully it'll all go well.

Time for an update. She's not on the road yet. Hopefully by tomorrow but here's how she's looking so far. The official presentation: Then I got to work........ New bars. Bargain at £10. Also picked up a used speedo cable for the £10 from an auction site. Ignition Surround was from mine. Gave her a full service, checked brakes out, new Oil/Filter and Battery needed a charge. Scrubbed her up and found paint was in a pretty decent state once the muck came off. Switched out the stock Variator for a Malossi with 6g's. Replaced shock which had seen a few thousand miles with fresh one I had previously removed from mine. Put 'L' plates on the front and back for the first few weeks and whacked on some cheap flip-up pegs. Swapped the yellow seat rail for a black one. Much better look with basket and backrest and meant I could dump the rear carrier as the Wife won't need. Beat up paint under the yellow one was only thing keeping it on. Also used some cord instead of the usual cable ties to attach basket panels just to seat frame for easy removal of the whole lot. It's got my stock mirrors now and has been for it's roadworthiness test. All I gotta do now is pay for it's road tax and she's legal. Really happy with it so far. Picking up a Polini intake manifold tomorrow and just got hold of a stock seat cover so gonna cut it up and re-cover the backrest cushion and my buddy seat so they both look more stock. Think I'm gonna cut the bunny ears of the Headlight frame, spray it black and stick it on mine so this one can have my black stock frame. The Yellow is going soon as it'll be getting sprayed Wine Red Metallic. Of the four colours available in the UK it's my least favourite. Sorry Chanito!

Paint over a yellow ruckus, sacrilege, you will burn for eternity I love the yellow as it makes the scooter a lot easier to see (a good thing on such a small vehicle) but i am a minority ;D Nice job on the ruckus ;D

I'm not spraying it by choice! She wanted a Red one but I couldn't pass this one up at the price I got it for so had to go with Yellow. I've convinced her to leave it for now for safety (and I can't be bothered to strip it down just yet) while she gets used to it. Like you say, other road users can't really say they don't see her on it.

Buzzetti Sidestand fitted. Cheered the Mrs up a bit after I gave her seat away to get a second hand Dorf Seat Frame. It has a patent leather JiangWayne seat attached to it just now but that'll be sorted by upholsterer soon. Then it'll be transferred to mine.

Fitted some new front shocks this morning. The stock right one was completely perished and affecting wheel alignment. It was flapping about inside and had no resistance at all so it had to come out but upgrading is always better than replacing. Had intended to put them on mine and transfer my stocks across but the Gold looks way better on hers.

Just makes me want new forks for mine. Owning 2 Zoomers is like looking after 2 dogs. Those big eyes get misty and ask 'Where's my bone?

Stole her Yellow battery box for my bike. Not sure about Yellow frame on Black box but other way is okay. I'll be spraying it all soon anyway once I've chopped those bunny ears off the yellow frame.

Bunny ears removed with the assistance of a heavy hammer. Indicators relocated and reflectors chucked in the bin.

It's a stock steering stem. Need it to sort out the steering lock as it's twisted from theft.

Switched the Dorf over to mine so this one now has the Buddy Seat and Black Frame. Fitted the same Kitaco shock I have to hers while I was at it. It is comfy as hell to ride now. Steering stem next then the Tucano Urbano skirt is going on to keep her scrawny legs warm.

Bunny-Ears are back as I want hers stock and she's got some Tucano mittens for the cold snap. I wouldn't have them but it's function over fashion for the Lady.
