I was hearing a popping sound recently at idle so I took off the covers this afternoon to investigate. The belt is loose enough to slap the cover at idle and the clutch is burned blue from heat.
My last ride was to an off road, backwoods cabin that included a slow (rocky) climb up a fairly steep grade for about 1.5 miles. The Big Ruckus definitely got hot and had a burnt rubber smell at the top. Once I got back to pavement I eased it up to speed and it ran fine but with some minor loss of power.
It now seems to accelerate a bit more slowly. The weather is crappy so I can't really check it out, but it just doesn’t seem right.
Is this clutch user serviceable or do I see my friendly but pricy dealer? Instructions on-line? What do you think?

Your belt may be worn. The lower limit for belt width is 17.15 mm wide on the 49cc Ruck.
